Au Yeun Chui declared and examined. I an rent collector and an

employed by my clansman to collect the rent of 7 and 9 Upper

Station Street. I have done this for 2 or 3 years. I pay the rent

to my clansman. The rent was increased in the month of November

last year. Since then there has been no reduction or increase. I

have visited these houses many times. I heard of a crack in the

party wall on the 20th. May. It was close to the entrance of llo. 9,

piece of paper but it was not about these cracks. These were the

notices about rat runs on the 20th. May. These rat runs were block-

-ed up. The space between the floor and wall was not blocked up nor

was it touched. I received no other notices about cracks. Nobody

ever mentioned that the house was dangerous. I reported that space

to my master. I never told any of the tena to that if they would

not leave the rent would be reduced.
